Export Your Squarespace Website to HTML & Host It Anywhere

Squarespace's built-in export gives you a content file, not your website. ExFlow exports the published site itself — every page, stylesheet, script and image — as static files you can host anywhere.

The site you see is the site you get

ExFlow renders your published Squarespace site in a real browser and captures what it actually serves, so the export is a faithful copy of the live site rather than a reconstruction of it.

What ExFlow exports

One export gives you a complete, self-contained copy of your published website. Choose what to include and where each file type lands.

Why export a Squarespace site?

Squarespace is a comfortable place to build a site. Once the site is finished, paying a monthly plan just to keep serving it is a choice, not a requirement.

savings
Cheaper hostingA Squarespace plan per site adds up quickly across several sites. Serving static files costs a fraction of that, and ExFlow Hosting includes unlimited bandwidth on every paid plan.
verified_user
Own a full static copyNot a content dump — the actual website, as HTML, CSS, JS and media on your own disk. It opens in any editor and works without Squarespace.
backup
Proper backupsSquarespace has no rollback for a site you have edited into a corner. A dated export is a restorable snapshot of exactly what was live.
swap_horiz
Migrate without rebuildingMove off Squarespace while keeping the design you already paid to build. Export the live site, point your domain at the new host, done.

Faster page loadsPre-rendered static files served from a CDN edge cut out the dynamic rendering hop — better Core Web Vitals and better rankings.
handshake
Simpler client handoffHand a client a folder of files they can host themselves rather than transferring a subscription they have to keep paying for.

How much would you save?

Export your site once, host the static files, and you stop paying a site plan for every site you run. Here is what that looks like over a year.

SquarespaceBusiness × 2 sites$552/yearExFlow Standard — hosting included, 2 sites$71.88/yearYou keep$480.12/yearThat is 87% less than you pay Squarespace today — $1,440.36 over three years.Based on Squarespace's published list prices for annual billing as of August 2026 — paying monthly costs more, so real savings are usually higher. ExFlow pricing is per account, not per site, and includes hosting with unlimited bandwidth. Domain registration and any third-party services you use are not included on either side.

Squarespace export — frequently asked questions

Is there a Squarespace exporter that exports the whole website?

Yes. Squarespace's own export produces a WordPress XML file of your text content — it does not give you your website. ExFlow is a Squarespace exporter that captures the actual published site: every page as rendered HTML, the stylesheets, the JavaScript, and all the images and media, so what you download looks and behaves like your live site.

How do I export a Squarespace site to HTML?

Paste your published Squarespace URL — either the built-in .squarespace.com address or your custom domain — and start the export. ExFlow loads each page in a real browser, downloads everything it serves, rewrites the URLs to local paths, and gives you a ZIP of static HTML, CSS, JS and media.

Can I export my entire Squarespace website, not just one page?

Yes. Turn on "Export all pages" and ExFlow reads your sitemap.xml and follows internal links until it has crawled the whole public site — blog posts, gallery pages, product pages and all. Page limits depend on your ExFlow plan; paid plans remove the cap entirely.

Can I self host my Squarespace site after exporting?

Yes. The export is static files with no Squarespace dependency, so it runs on any static host: ExFlow Hosting, Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages, S3 or your own server. Paid ExFlow plans can also push every export straight to Git, S3 or FTP so redeploying is automatic.

Will my Squarespace design and layout survive the export?

Yes. ExFlow captures the CSS and JavaScript Squarespace actually serves rather than trying to reconstruct your template, so fonts, spacing, colour, responsive breakpoints and section layouts come across intact. Galleries, slideshows, accordions and scroll effects keep working because their scripts are exported too.

What about a password-protected Squarespace site?

ExFlow can export it. Enter your site's frontend password in the export settings and ExFlow will authenticate before crawling. The site does need to be published — fully private, unpublished sites cannot be exported.

What does not carry over from Squarespace?

Anything that runs on Squarespace's servers: form submissions, Squarespace Commerce checkout, member areas, scheduling and site search. All the pages, styling, imagery and client-side behaviour export fine — forms just need repointing at your own endpoint or a form service.

Can I migrate off Squarespace without rebuilding my site?

That is the most common reason people use ExFlow. Instead of recreating your design in another builder, you export the site you already have as static files and host it somewhere cheaper. The visual site stays exactly as it is — only the hosting changes.

Export other website builders

ExFlow is not Squarespace-only. The same crawl, rewrite and hosting pipeline handles other site builders.
